Is anyone worried about the lack of preselection in daygame?

I feel you. I know exactly what you mean. After some time I came to the conclusion that I have my own selection of women I would like to get to know. In terms of physical appearance I have a set of 'rules' that women can be ranked in and determine if I will approach them. This means that I may approach women who you think are 10's while someone else may think they are 4's. Either way, I view them as either 'yes, approach' or 'no approach'.
It is true however that alot of perhaps interesting women that do not fit the rules I mentioned will not be approached by me. But this simply does not bother me. If I would approach a woman that does not fit the physical rules I have set I will always think about the thing I feel she would be lacking. That is not her fault but mine and it would not be fair to myself and her.

To get back to the point because I rambled away like usual :): do not invest time and money in a girl you do not see as a potential mate. When you approach you determine if there is a chance for her to be your mate. Without investing this bit of time you will not know if that woman you did not approach was your partner. Finally: looks can say alot in terms of dressing and appearance. If she dresses like a nun she probably is a nun. If you're into that, approach.

Well early dates shouldn't be that expensive. Normal progression for me (when looking for a GF) might be: Coffee shop, mini golf, netflix and chill. That doesn't cost too much. And I'll probably see red flags about her on the coffee shop date.

also I don't think that's what pre-selection is.

Nope, it's a pay-to-play scenario. Besides, that's an outcome-based orientation. Plus, it should be enjoyable to meet new people, especially those with boobies. If you're very concerned about it, you can use online dating to hone in on the type you're looking for.

The whole frame you should have with cold approach is that the girl is pretty enough to spark your interest and from there you're playfully trying to get to know her to see if she meets your high standards for a romantic/love/sexual interest.

This frame will naturally make you screen and push pull.

Let's say you only like smart/nerdy girls, once you build enough value in the interaction start probing about that, then actually care about the answers. You'll find if you do it right she'll quality herself to you. I could talk more about screening and qualification and how it ties into push pull but for now just focus on the fact that when approaching a girl you don't know, you genuinely shouldn't want anything out of the interaction other than to approach and have fun getting to know if she's right for you/right for your rotation/right for an ONS.

In fact saying shit like "you seem pretty cool so far but I bet you're secretly a religious nut" is a great example of screening, getting her to qualify and push pull all with a playful vibe. Other examples: "I can't decide whether you're a high school dropout or a member of Mensa, which is it?", " you know I'm thinking with a body like that either you really work out and eat right or its all the crack cocaine keeping you slim and nubile "

These are obviously off the cuff but you get the idea. Screening should be part of the fun of game.
