I'm seeing this girl (already went on three dates with her) and I'm not sure where do I stand with her. On the second date I got kiss rejected, but I brushed it off and kept smiling and talking with her. Didn't made the situation awkward, and after the date she was actually the one contacting me via text. Some friends (which are friends with her as well) also told me that she said great things about her.

The third date I didn't try to kiss her again (after the rejection she said she didn't knew me very well and also, she had just got out of a hard relationship) but we did had a good time, again. This time I was the one who text first. I said that it was great beeing with her again. We exhange 1 or 2 texts about something we talked about the date and then I said "So, next month I'm free from day X, we should meet up again" which she responded "Sure, I'll need to check my schedule, but we can set up another day to meet up" to which I said "Alright, awesome, let me know when you're free then next month", which she said sure.

Now, I didn't contact her the next day and today she texted me wishing me happy new year and mencioned something we talked about in the 3rd date which I replied you too, etc, and also mentioned something about the last date and she sent another text thanking me.

Now, the ball is in her court. I don't know when she's available this month. I believe we won't meet again for at least 2 or 3 weeks. Giving that the last text was from her, should I text her again the next few days? Maybe sent her a funny picture, or mention something about the last date? Would I sound too needy if I did that?

Note that before the third date I was a little needy via text message, but nothing ridicolous, I think. I won't get into much detail there, but I can answer if someone wishes to know.

So what do you think I should do? I feel like I have been putting way too much effort in her, and the she hasn't made any effort. Feels like I'm doing all the work, and I want to back off a little so I dont sound way too needy...
