Physically appealing. Happy despite having faced tough challenges. A personality as strong as mine, she has to be able to tell me if I'm wrong. Interesting and very smart, very solid education and curios. If she's gorgeous but boring,meh If she's all of the above but not good looking, meh as well.

If it's the one I'll marry she has to love kids.

As a test, I always ask myself "would I be proud to present her to my friends? (If serious) family?"

Also, may sound stupid, but my grandma is shockingly good at evaluating the character of people. So, if she likes her, it's a huge bonus. However I'm enough of an asshole to ignore the last two paragraphs and enjoy her (company) just because.

First and foremost is honesty. I will listen to my girl tell me how she flirts with guys and how it would never go further than that as well as her telling me when we were first dating that she was going out with so and so and how it went. I was and still am completely comfortable with it and know that she only wants to be with me so it's no big deal. We can talk about ANYTHING and that's one of the best things I've ever had in a relationship. When you have that, you also have the second most important thing, trust. If you don't have trust, the relationship is doomed. I'm 48 years old and have had my share of relationships and this is the first one that I've never had to second guess anything. Anything after those two things is a bonus IMO since you're not looking for physical looks.

Much like myself to be honest. I know the type of person I want to be, and I want her to be the same.

In short. Not too outspoken/slightly reserved, yet friendly and confident. Is just as outgoing as she enjoys staying home. Emotionally intelligent (knows how to control her emotions). Honest.
