There's something to be said for being comfortable with vulnerability but in this situation it is the girls job to pursue a relationship and your job to keep your options open. You took her job from her and she's not going to find that attractive. If there is one thing girls despise in guys it is emotional neediness, so be careful and remember you are the catch, she should be pursuing you.

Yeah being emotionally vulnerable is fine, obviously like anything you can do too little of it or too much of it, so experience is key.

It's been a very liberating experience. And I think she actually is also focusing on her career/travels so isn't after a relationship - we're not actually going to be living in the same area.

She recently actually thanked me for opening up to her. It's has also led her to re-evaluate her relationship with men.

Will I get the girl? Probably not, but that's not why we do this: The process is more important than the outcome.
