Posted here before didn't get an answer so I'll do it again and hope for a quick response.

What do you do when the girl you really like is with her best friend walking out of class? I plan on just making random conversation about high school and college and would like to end on a good note and show my interest in one of the girls.

Do I ask for her number in front of her friend or just casually end the convo and leave and hope I find her alone some time in the future? I only see her once a week and that's if I go out of my way. Either way I'm sure she's been wanting me to talk to her the slightest bit, if any at all, in the last 2 years. I planned on saying, "we had english together and spoke a couple of times, we should definitely get coffee or lunch sometime." and see her response from there. But I don't know whether to do it in front of friend or not. Any help is appreciated.
