It's a reflection on how real-life works as well. Women are propped up by beta males in the desperate hope for sex. Women get used to that attention and them fins the Internet "misogynistic" when they are essentially treated the same as men.

It's why women must throw it in everyone's face that they are female (their username, "as a woman", etc).

women are "more important" and "more valuable" - essentially they're entitled.

The problem might be because there are a lot of really young men on the internet, and I imagine a huge chunk of them have never encountered an actual women online, and are dazzled by it.

I always hated the white knight reference, as most people trot it out when you are defending a women, regardless of the actual arguement, but this might be that type of guy.
