Women are the gatekeepers of sex while men are the gatekeepers of commitement. When there is prostitution which is legal AND socially accepted it lowers the value of sex, weakening the position of women.

Some men and women want to keep certain men sexually deprived. Some men can maintain a sense of superiority by ensuring that other men don't get laid.

IMO this isn't the point. Firstly you have to see that politicians depent on votes. Women make up ~50% of the voting population. People who have come to power will do nearly everything to not loose the power again.

And then of course pay a visit to /r/thebluepill, laugh your ass off and understand that there are so many men who pedestalize women as pure and innocent beings who would never ever give away their pussy for something as trivial as money if they aren't forced to. If they had to acknowledge that it's different they would end up in the inconvinient situation to have to invest work to improve themselves and their situation instead of being lazy and staying the nice, fat and poor white knight who thinks that he's able to talk his way into girl's vaginas.

Always keep in mind how dumb the average human is and then think about that half the population is even dumber.

I think the focus is more on protecting women in existing relationships than on keeping men available for future relationships with currently single women.

Both prostitution and slut shaming are intended to keep the supply of sex limited so it can be used as a bargaining chip within relationships. Regardless of the type of relationship.

women do, men that do it just use a woman value judgement. Naturally men will mock you for your incompetence, or physical weakness rather than lack of sexual prowess or masculinity.(These are value judgements done by women, a man can't asses them.)

Look into how prevalent and quasi accepted brothels were in the early 1900's. Not quite legal, but pretty safe from interference.

Women's associations and religious associations that were heavily influenced by women put pressure on the police to start enforcing the law. BUT, the other theory as to why they aren't nearly as popular anymore is that the increased promiscuity of women when the pill and automobile came around made it possible to get laid without going to the whorehouse.

if you go back in time (or even look at current societies that are not descended from judeo-christianity) what you find is homosexuality is widely practiced and not taboo, bestiality is common, as well as prostitution.

arguably, the reason that juedo-christianity became the prevalent ideology is precisely because it began to lockdown sexuality, and harness male energy to build society, technologies, and armies.

its even why female sex toys are widely considered ok while male sex toys are taboo. even masturbation is considered somewhat taboo, and shameful, and is in fact "illegal" in some societies like islamic ones.

imagine it, if everyone thinks gay sex is ok, then two men can be happy fucking eachother, they dont need to buy eachother presents, they dont need to work hard, they just need to work to feed themselves, and can still be satisfied. but when you make gay sex taboo, and restrict these other avenues of sexual release, then men and their drive to have sex becomes a very powerful tool; it built the modern world.

criminalising/tabooing prostitution is just another way in which mens sexual energy has been cornered and harnessed.

yeah, i mean check out any ancient civilization, greece, rome, persia, egypt, aztecs, and gay sex was fine and dandy. gay sex is only considered unusual in judeo-christian societies, although we have the numbers (of people), going by the number of societies, our society where gay sex/prostitution is frowned upon is actually the minority.
