I think it's pretty clear they - for one reason or another - rated the sexual experience pretty low in their heads.

I've recently seen the same thing with the last couple of hook-ups. One still wanted to see me again, but I lost my cool/patience and scared her off.

Well they have to be open to being a fuck buddy it in general. This is, outside of your control and just about where they're at in life at the moment. Not everyone who will have a ONS with you will want to be your FWB.

Then there's a matter of fucking them well. There are numerous recourses on this like u/Borjatone 's comment but it really boils down to practice makes perfect.
