the worst cockblocker is urself is well established, everyone should know this by now.

The reality is that the girls friends dont give a fuck if she sleeps with a random dude, but if u come off as creepy, strange or just crazy they will. Ive had the girls friends cheer us on while i was making out with her. Also another situation i accidently approached a girl, the but she was the guys girlfriend, but the confusion cleared, i befriended him and he introduced me to other girls in the group

Basically everyone should read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, as "letting go of your ego" is perhaps putting it too simply - disidentifying from your ego is what you're really after. But good post all in all.

I am a perfectionist, indeed. Job related stuff is the worst. I am insecure about the work I deliver, but also a perfectionist. It sucks.

It's easy to confuse high-ego with high confidence, but the truth is they are two completely separate realms. You can have a high-ego with low self-confidence or vice versa, low-ego with high-self-confidence, which is of course what we are all aiming for.
