There exists not a set of questions formulated to discovering if you have found your soul mate or not. It's one of those things where if you met that person in your life, you won't need to ask the questions.

BUT... to answer your question: Anything that gets you guys into a dialogue about the core values and expectations you each have...

Somebody on reddit made a pretty good list of all the shit that has to be compatible for a relationship to work long term (i.e., to get married). For example, you guys need to have the same basic religious beliefs and want to live in the same city, if you plan on marrying and having kids. I am too lazy to find that list though.

This is a great question but it is specific to the person (you). So, what I look for in a woman, and what you look for may be completely different. Also, how do you screen is as important as what you are screening for. Being clear in intent is important too. Also, some people are serious (looking for a relationship) and some casual. I know there is no set questions to ask, but there are questions that would determine your long-term compatibility, that you should seek to answer:

do they plan to have kids? if so, when?
are they career-oriented or family-oriented?
have they satisfied their travel bug?
are they promiscuous?
do they have trouble forming emotional bonds in relationships?
do they have similar values and ethics?
are they commitment-driven? will they jump ship at first sign of trouble?
do they value money above love?

Don't forget, women are the gatekeepers of sex, men are the gatekeepers of commitment. Choose your partner carefully. Chemistry does not equal compatibility.

Essentially, these questions determine if you're both at a similar stage in your life, and if this woman is worth your commitment and has potential to be a good mother.

Personally, I don't see any point in committing to a woman unless you plan to have children with her one day, and you can generally answer these questions within the first few months of knowing her.

If you clearly are not compatible long-term, then it's on you to break it off. If you're a decent guy she will likely start to fall in love, and so may you, and all of this logical crap will be thrown out of the window until you wake up in 2 years after the honeymoon period and realise you've made a massive mistake.
