How important are statements?

I really don't understand the difference between a regular statement and a stronger statement.

Imagine the following conversation with a girl you just met: you "and what are you studying?" her "i am doing gender studies" you "so you like to help people." That's a weak statement. Now let's see the strong statement; you "and what are you studying?" her "i am doing gender studies" you "Ah ok, you are one of those feminists that like to get all the rights but no obligations."

This will elicit an emotional reaction, probably she will try to defend herself and tell you that you are wrong about it and therefore invest in you. Remember to learn to deliver those statements with a grin, being confident, otherwise she might think you are being rude.

With all things being equal would improving statements make a marked difference in sets?

I would say yes, since it separated you from the herd. You stand out by doing this, since you make her feel something other guys don't, also you show that you are confident, you speak your mind, so you must be a good leader and bold. It's such a effective tool to disagree with women when you really disagree...

You're getting WAY too caught up in details that don't matter.

Statements show more certainty that questions, sometimes. But "regular" vs "stronger" is in the eye of the beholder.

The important thing is just to note that questions and statements are different tools for different situations.

Sometimes questions are needed. Sometimes statements.
