You can view it as a shit test I guess. She was trying to spice up the conversation, find out more about your dating life. All that really matters is whether the question (and your answer) affected your frame. If you were unnerved by it (and it looks like you were), she will judge you poorly.

It wasn't the worst thing you could have said..but yeah, there was a better answer. Girls are generally looking for honesty, so if you want to potray that you are not afraid of anything, then you certainly shouldn't be afraid of being honest! You could have gone for charming comical - "Yes, I must admit, this is pretty much the area I'm comfortable with, but it's been awesome so far with you (and then a big cheesy smile)." Then, you can give her something specific that was awesome about your date so far, specific to her. She can't argue with that!

Well, I have said it before but getting coffee is not a real date. It is something you can do with your friend. A date needs to be above friendship.
