I agree with this, but let me expand as I am a teacher who deals with mothers on a regular basis.
The issue the modern woman faces when raising a child is that she doesn't have a social support group that was available even up to a generation or two ago. The most common complaint I get is "I have no one to help me" or "I don't know what to do, I have no one to show me."
Back yonder women could rely on the advice of other mothers to raise children, learn time savers, little cheats, the same way guys starting a job on site learns as he goes from the older men.
The first 3 years of a child's life is so important to their development, and I sense mothers are aware of this on some level. They obviously want the best for their kid and don't always have the knowledge to do it the way they have envisioned. Compound this with most women coming from homes and environments where they live life on a pedestal and never experienced hard work, to now cleaning up shit and you see why they think they have the hardest job in the world.

This is all true and very good points. However, the luxury the moms of today have is that their "job" is completely, 100% their choice. Either the baby will be aborted, adopted or paid for by a man.

As a corollary to this problem, I would point out military wives: many of them have this sort of interconnected social circle available to them and they move the goalposts to their emotional trauma with their husbands and their kids being raised with a practically absent father. Not knocking military wives, that is rightly harder than single motherhood in ways, but the interesting fact is how the social circle's influence is mitigated so that they are still a victim.

Now days with modern appliances, to claim being a mom is the hardest job in the world is a joke. Pop some laundry in the washing machine, then the dryer. Watch soap operas all day long.
As for the cleaning part, a hotel maid is allocated 20 minutes to clean a room which includes the bathroom. How many rooms does an average house have ?
After the stay at home mom finishes watching some soaps, goes and fucks the plumber, electrican, paper boy, or any other delievery boy.
The hardest part of her job is hamstering about what she did all day long.

Serious shit. I have to work a full time job, clean, cook, do laundry etc and I do most of that shit before I'm out the door in the morning. I'd go crazy sitting at home all day. Because, what else is there? Feed the baby, change a diaper and put it to sleep? That takes what? A collective hour?

You must not spend much time around children. Babies can need that hour long process 8 times a day. Then if the baby is having a bad day and cries whenever you put him down you have your hands literally full. And toddlers and preschoolers don't just let you clean up in the morning and then keep it tidy for you. They will create constant mess and require someone to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't hurt themselves or get in to trouble. Older babies also demand constant snacks and entertainment since their attention span is about 15 minutes long. It's pretty challenging to do a big chore like vacuuming when you need to keep an eye and ear out for the children.
I'm just not sure where you get the idea parents spend and hour caring for a baby.

Yeah it is rough here and there but it is nothing compared to a real job. The worst part of it is the psychological aspect. The constant crying, the feeling that your job is never ending, the lack of adult conversations, the constant feeling of being trapped, the knowledge that all you are good for in life is being the shit wiper from some baby etc. It isn't hard at all and I think most parents just phone it in every day anyways.

I am a dad, my Gf has a three year old, its rough for her because she is a single mom without much support from her family. Being a father and taking care of kids is easy to me compared to my military job, farming, running a business, and being a machinist. The wars were the toughest things I ever did, and everything else pales in comparison. When yluntake in 6000-9000 calories a day and lose thirty five pounds in a month, you're busting your ass hardcore. Think insanity workout for twelve hours straight and you get the idea.

This reminds me of how my mom would bitch all week about how she had to clean all day (no laundry) everyday. My mom was a bit religious and would take Sunday as her "day of rest" which was basically going to the mall with my sister and spending all my dad's money. Anyways Sunday would come around and me and my dad would pop in the laundry, clean the whole house in 30 minutes, transfer to dryer, and use that wait time to rake and mow the lawn. By then it would usually be around 1-1:30 so we even had time to hit the grocery store before football. Mom would come home to me and dad munching to a game and call us lazy and claim we did nothing at all. Upon further investigation, she would always be proven wrong but always held on to one.... idek what to call it "If you were a woman, you'd understand"

He forgot to mention that if you feel like drowning your associate in a tub then you can and then get away with it because it doesn't matter. You can also leave the company at any time for any reason, blame it on the company for being controlling and then take half of the company's assets while still getting paid for the rest of your life.
