I started actively approaching girls about 6 months ago. Night game only. I go out maybe 2-3 times per week. I probably approach on average 10 girls per night. Over 500 approaches.

But nothing seems to improve and I feel exactly where I was when I first started, despite having lots of 'practice/reference experience' and having read lots of pickup literature. (yes, i've read 'models' before anyone tells me to read that! :))

I run out of things to say after opening. And If I CAN think of things to say, there is often not much 'fun' there, and so the interaction fizzles out. I don't know how to be 'fun' with a complete stranger seconds after approaching them. Am I supposed to have some sort of routines and canned jokes to use just after saying 'hi' in my back pocket or something?

I've always had a bad memory. Maybe people who are good at this remember the funny lines to say and the lines to use once she has started showing interest, and remember what topics to talk about etc etc whereas with me, with each approach, i'm too 'in my head' as well as feeling like everything i've ever read about pickup goes out of the window.

I'd hoped by now that i'd have found some sort of 'template'. A kind of general 'vibe' and 'structure' that tends to be more successful than others since I done all kinds of experimenting

(i'm talking about things like opening with certain lines, opening direct vs indirect in various situations, showing lots of interest VS being more aloof and NOT showing too much interest, kino very early on VS kino only after she seems comfortable with me, having a 'friendly'/fun vibe VS having a more serious/sexual/flirty vibe etc)

It kind of seems as though nothing is working for me, though.

The only resemblance of a 'pattern' that i've found is that if I open with certain canned openers that make the girls laugh, the interactions tend to go better. The other resemblance of a 'pattern' is that if I break the seddit rule of 'don't verbalise/tell the girl that you think they are cute', it tends to actually work better for me.

Combining the above lead to a few makeouts and one lay, HOWEVER the sample size of 'success' is so small, that it doesn't hold any statistical significance.

My general plan at the mo is simply to get better at conversation with strangers. (thinking of buying 'the conversation cure' program).
