Winter is cuffing season so be careful for clingers. Other than that it's great for hooking up just like any other thime of the year... sometimes even better because of the holidays... people go out who don't normally go out, and some of them with the intention of hooking up.

whereas 1600 is about average time to meet someone as they go back from work and it's already darkish.

Did they start turning the lights off on the subway or in indoor areas like malls, restaurants, schools, grocery stores, banks, etc? Did I miss something?

Look, there's no issue with striking up conversation in any of those places, provided you're paying attention to the situation.

Where I live it's cold and snowy, people usually just shack up with whoever they're casually seeing at the start of winter and dont start seeing other people until the spring.

Seriously, it's like really cold and really snowy. Getting to the bars is a struggle. If you're determined then go for it though.

I call it "cuddle season" where I am from. Followed by "breakup season" or "mating season" once it gets warmer and more skin starts to show.

But yeah, anytime is a good time. Especially if you find a lady that missed the target during shack up time.
