I'm 19, and a towering 5'8, probably closer to 5'7. (Considering I grew 2 inches since the age of 17/18). I'm a relatively attractive guy, nothing special but I'm not ugly.

I get girls, that became apparent when my friends started pointing it out. I made a comment about this guy I know who thinks he can get any girl he wants, 'my friends agreed I am that person'.. It became more obvious that guys were surprised when my 6'2 house mate pointed out that I shouldn't get girls because I'm smaller than most in heels.

I've been with girls who have made a point of calling me short. They try and get a reaction out of me, they try and annoy me, and they see my height as my point of weakness, and it once was. But I never let anyone know that. And I never over compensated.

Over compensation is a sign of insecurity, the most obvious example is wearing a hat when you're bald/balding, compensation is not letting your self worth hinge on that minor detail.

The point of this post is: your confidence is key, regardless of any reason to not be confident. Everyone has their reason to not be confident, as do I, but it's about how you deal with that, and more importantly how you deal with that without over compensating.

There are a number of factors that decide whether you are going to get laid or not. 1 - Confidence.

2 - Your ability to converse. If you can hold a conversation and ultimately have a good time with the girl in question, you're golden.

3 - Is she out of your league? The answer is always no. I remember walking out of a nightclub with a girl, and 3 drunk guys came up to us saying 'man how did you get here??', I've had friends ask me, I've had security guards say well done. You get the girls you allow yourself to pursue, and I don't mean pursue in the sense of walking up with a pickup line. Just thing of a way to get your foot in the door, that's how it all starts.

4 - How needy do you come off, how much does it seem like you need her rather than you just enjoying her company and vice versa.

5 - How well can you flirt. Straight up flirting comes off as creepy, lavishing her in compliments does not work. Teasing, hinting and generally have a good conversation. That's what works.

I just needed to write that, take it or leave it but that's what works for me.. Any questions feel free to ask.
