Except they never change, and if they do she probably won't think of you anyway. A better reply is "That's never stopped me before" and smile brightly as if you were just talking about the weather, then continue the conversation. This forces her to come up with another reason (which she wasn't prepared for) and extends the convo.

Small warning: in today's day and age some people might consider extending the convo like that to be harassment.

Another possible route is to go with charm: "Oh shit, I'm envious of that dude. He gets to come home to you all the time? Fuck, I wish I could do that just once." This response has a few upsides compared to the previous one, which is balls to the wall all or nothing:

Most bfs take the gfs for granted. Here you are showing interest and excitement about her, and all she has to do is give you a shot.

Bottom line is: short of assault (do not attempt) or lowered inhibitions (read: a bar, not a coffee shop) there's often no way to flip a devoted gf/wife. Your best bet at this point might be to use her as batting practice for the next single hottie you meet. Try lines you normally wouldn't, etc. You have nothing to lose, and even the most devoted woman will give off body language as to whether what you're saying would be effective if she weren't attached.

You're definitely quick to get her number. Try focusing on enjoying the moment or creating an enjoyable presence. That'll make it less forced and awkward and she'll want t come back.

And don't think you 'lost your chances' gg no re, she's gone forever. It was a mess up, it happens that's life. Try it again and practice making the interaction fun and enjoyable.
