Instagram is an amazing platform for dating actually, since there's not much competition and the competition that there is is totally clueless. First build an attractive Instagram profile, then you want to escalate slowly, don't send her a DM right out of the blue. Like one or two of her pictures and see if she responds. If she likes yours back, write a silly comment on one of yours. Turn the comments into a conversation, THEN send her a DM to continue the conversation.

Ever heard of this thing called "Tinder?" Honestly a lot of dating starts online now days so I'm sure it's fine if you don't make a habit about it. It may be hard to make that first impression online though because you have to know that she's getting tons is weirdos in her DMs daily already.

I've gotten more action through Instagram than through any other online platform.

Idk if I would jump directly to the DMs, though. Feel it out first. Like a pic, comment on a pic. See I you get any acknowledgement that way first.
