Pretty much the title.

I was working as a bouncer at a club. Once my job was done i stayed a little bit and grabbed a drink. There were not many people. I spotted a cute girl at the dancefloor but i didn't talk to her.

When i went out i saw her again leaving and this time i approached very fast (thank god my mind didn't play any tricks like finding excuses not to approach her). I talked to her and barely 2 minutes in asked for the number. Although she had to go. I texted her the next day and didn't get an answer. And the thing is that she seemed pretty receptive to me.

Same thing happened the next day. The numbers i got that were from short interactions flaked. The other ones responded.

Note that sometimes, even after building attraction, the girl will flake. There are many reasons why (she may have found a better guy, she may have made up her mind etc. etc.)

So just spend time flirting and getting to know each other and then go for the number.
