You already know a lot if you're a nerd, talk about movies you like, talk about stuff in the news you heard about. Watch TMZ, see what hollywood is doing, most women love that stuff and it never hurts to know what the kardashians are doing.

I'm a maths/science nerd tho xD and those I approached usually change topics when I try to bring those up. I'll try those, thanks, even if I'd rather some more "intellectual" reads x)

well, I'm afraid I can't really do that before a while. (I'm 20, no money, no car, and no job as I'm preparing for admission tests since a while) where I'm from, it's very unusual to have part time jobs as students, except for summer :/ I'll be studying in France next year so that'll be an option, but meanwhile, thought I'd learn a bit more, yknow

Talk about the things that interest you.
Girls don't often care so much about what you're passionate about, but that you have something that you can get excited about (bonus points if she likes it too)
I've had dates where I spoke briefly about video games, or super heroes and it all ends up okay, as long as you're confident, passionate, and don't spend too much time on something she's clearly not into

I'm a science/maths nerd tho, not a comic/games one, so there's not much to discuss I'm afraid, unless I'm giving them lectures xD actually, now that I think about it, that's what I've always been doing in my discussions with girls: giving lectures :/
[–]nashimo 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
guess I'll experiment on how to put that correctly in a discussion. thanks alot

The universe is fucking beautiful, I'm sure you can work that in.
Stargazing date sounds right up your alley, you can point out the constellations and stuff!

you sir, are awesome! would never had thought of that.
any other similar suggestions please?

I dunno, what are some of your other science-based interests? Snorkeling might be a fun date if you're near a decent spot

hum, I'm into maths primarily, but have a decent/good understanding of astronomy, (quantum/classic) mechanics, electronics, thermodynamics etc... ya know, the usually not-so-fun-stuff

Obviously date specific, but you could build a simple circuit or something (full disclosure, I don't really know shit about electronics) or do a run experiment with her, granted this isn't as all purpose as a stargazing date, but would probably be a load of fun with the right person

You don't need to be that interesting. You just need to be fun.
Fun is cool. Self-amusement is the best way I've found to be fun. If you're having an awesome time by yourself or with your buddies being goofy, joking around, and even being kind of obnoxious (not an asshole, but just obnoxious), you automatically become more attractive to women. Being a fun guy makes her have fun, and since women make decisions based on emotions primarily, you want her emotions to be as fun and carefree as possible.
Spend your time watching movies and reading books because you like them and find them interesting, not because you're trying to impress some girl. This is neediness, and girls smell it like a shark smells a single drop of blood. Have fun, be self-amusing and non-needy, and you will automatically become more attractive.
I'm a big fan of RSD Tyler because he professes this, and it's what I've found works. He's kind of an irritating douche, but he's right. Watch this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m_ttJ-XnGA
I'm reading/watching them to broaden my perspective, and getting girsl is a side result, I guess. The video is pretty useful, thanks. However, it might be a bit hard for me. I'm the kind of people who are always controlling their emotions, so while it helps with the cool/zen side Mystery talks about, I struggle with the flame part. The only fun I can deliver is by routines etc, but I don't have that much energy, see what I mean? On the field, I see how this impacts my game, but I don't really know how to fix it. Even with my friends, I rarely let it go x)

Practice getting into social situations that make you uncomfortable. Strike up conversations with 3 strangers per day (don't make it just girls, anyone will work), and see if you can get these conversations to last at least 3 minutes. Pick a friend who you also wants to work on something similar, and challenge him to the "Penis game" in public. Whatever works for you, just practice being uncomfortable.

do you have any hobbies? or do you literally just study from sun up to sun down? If its the second one, fix it.
well, yeah pretty much. When I don't, I'm reading (scientific) articles etc for fun, hence why the need of broadening my perspective

Well, you're a maths/science nerd. Have you ever seen QI? That's unashamedly academic but extremely interesting too. A few series of that could make anyone a more interesting person.
I have to recommend podcasts too as a massive fan of them. They're especially great because you can enjoy them while you're doing something else, so you'll probably become a more productive person if you get into them. Subscribe to a few political podcasts, a couple about films, comedy, any other topic you find interesting.
Awesome! I'll give those a shot, thanks a load
