Hey guys, I just finished re-reading Models. Last time I read it was some four years ago (it was still the previous edition!) and though a lot has changed in my life, I still have a long way to go to get where I want to be and, more importantly, be who I want to be.

One of the ideas Manson writes about is honest communication. Interestingly, I feel communication is one of those skills we tend to underestimate the most or at least, leave last on our 'stuff I need to improve on myself' list.

Manson states women tend to speak more in terms of intentions rather than in cold impersonal facts as we proud males do. My questions about this are: 1) How do I do this, specifically? From what the book states I got the impression I should create an emotional context for some of the facts I state. For example: "I'm building a garden right now." This could be restated as "I'm planting some ivy in a vertical garden to make my home feel more comfortable and relaxing". Would this be a good example?

2) I think I am not very good at connecting with people. Not just girls but also men I'd like to get to know better. Can I also communicate with dudes in this fashion to get closer to them?

Thanks, guys!
