Hey everyone!

Just to give some context before I get into my field report that I am still talking to the woman that I really like and have been hanging out with her for over 8 months now. But since she is way older than me and has a kid, we realized that this “situationship” is not gonna go anywhere and we are just living in a fantasy. I really like this woman but I know I have to move on at some point.

This is the feeling that I had in mind when I went out to go play pool by myself this weekend. I was not going to hit on women or approach them, I just wanted to play some pool. At the same time, I do feel nice when I have a good interaction with an attractive female.

When I was waiting for my turn to get on the pool table, I started talking to some of the guys waiting their turn too and some of their friends were already playing a game.

All of a sudden, I had this cute woman walk (W1) up to me and ask me “Hey, are you with these guys?” I wanted to play next on the table and make some friends so I said “Yeah, I’m with them. Just waiting for my game”. She then hands me a cocktail and goes “This is for you.” I was kinda confused. So I ask “Who is this from?” She goes - “Its from my friend”. Then I go “Lets meet your friend and I started following her to her friend”.

Then, I see this another gorgeous woman (W2) have the same drink in her hand. I go “Did you give this to me? Can I trust it?” She goes, “Yeah, its one of my friends birthdays and we are celebrating” (pointing to a guy who was standing near the same group of guys that were waiting for their turn on the table).

So she calls her friend up to us and introduces us. I go “Happy Birthday man!” Then, going back to the woman, “should we do it?” (Meaning drink to this friend). She goes “Cheers!”. Making eye contact, we start chugging our drinks. After a few sips, I stopped. She goes “Oh are we not gonna down it?” I go “I didn’t know thats what we were doing!” Then, she goes “Oh were we? Were we not?” Giving me a puzzled look and laughing off the confusion.

Then, the guy comes up to me and goes “You got a lot to learn my guy” Then, the friend (W2) kinda giggles.

Later on, I tried to ask the other friend (W1) if she wanted to join my team for a game. She replies “You wanna play a game? I’m kinda scared of playing him” (pointing at a much older guy at the table). Then, I notice that she kept walking around to different guys at the bar but still kept glancing at me once in a while. I thought she was trying to make me jealous or something so I decided not to feed that energy.

Towards closing time, I walked up to the other girl (W2) that “chugged the drink with me”. I go “Since you have come this far to party, you wanna keep the party going? Also, I have been meaning to say Thank you for the drink” I can’t remember what she said but then she points at her friend (W1), who had initially approached me with the drink and goes “He said thank you for the drink girl!”

At this point I was so confused as to what was happening and what signs was I misreading or thinking too much about! Like I couldn’t figure out who was interested and who was not!

Can someone please help me understand and give some advice for club pick ups?
