This might sound strange, but one thing you should remember is that this is a learning experience like any other. Imagine you're learning the guitar and that your end goal is to be able to play a certain song. Of course if you pick up the guitar and try to learn the song in one go you'll feel like a jackass because nothing is working out. Your fingers will hurt like hell and you might feel like quiting. Instead of quiting, like countless amount of people do because they are afraid of the grind, you will practice on a consistant basis until you build calluses and you have strengthened fingertips. Do you get mad if you can't keep on playing after a long practice session or if you try playing a part of the song but it sounds terrible? Absolutely not, you keep practicing until you reach your potential. After many hours of practice you will finally have learnt your song. By that point you'll realize that the greater objective wasn't the song you were pursuing: rather, it is the self assurance that you can do anything you put your effort into no matter how hard or unpleasant the grind might be. Failure at parts in the journey is inevitable and rather a tool for you to learn. Just remember that you're never going to get to where you want to go if you don't pick up your guitar and practice the fuck out of that song.

I will be as blunt as they come: Years ago, I was sick and tired of laying fatties. I was lowering my standards just so I could get some.
Then I wondered about the typical cliché: why in the world would worse-looking people than myself get the hottie? What did I do wrong?
So I went on the internet to look it up, since the internet knows everything of course. :)
First e-book I found was "How to become an alpha male", by John Alexander. Basic, even sometimes crude 1st gen material, but enough to make me realize I had it all wrong, and that I've been taught wrong about women all along! The more I read and re-read that, the more things about women that didn't make sense started to become somewhat more logical.
That's when the topic itself became more interesting to me than merely mindlessly picking up chicks. It was complex, but not enough so that I wouldn't understand new concepts I'd read about. So then I went for more books, just to compare opinions, and kept in mind the recurring themes, which incidentally, constitute the foundation we use here on Seddit.
That actually had a ripple effect on all aspects of my life. Having a spine, refusing to be a victim even when I was wronged, being confident that I could take on the various journeys in life, by hook or by crook.

Good job man. It's a huge thing to just take action when it comes to this. You should be proud of yourself for that.
Make a system. Set small goals to do 1-5 approaches. When I started I would do bullshit "ask for directions" 10 times for my approaches. Go to an RSD Freetour the next time they're in LA and meet some other guys who do this. Join the RSD Inner Circle there. Having a friend who's trying to do the same thing will help keep you accountable and motivate you to keep on pushing.
Most importantly, be patient. Give yourself a year. Two years. Three years. Four years. This is a marathon and you're only 21. Keep at it and you'll be in a great place when you're out of college and the ability to cold approach skyrockets in value.

This is literally the bedrock of my mindset.
I'm 21. I'm going to University in September 2018 for four years. When I walk out of Uni I want to be in control of the dating part of my life.
