So I had a girl over tonight, showed her one of my favorite movies, puella magi Madoka magica. Regardless, during the movie once it started getting kind of spooky I stretched my arms above my head and then put my arms on the couch. My arm was just laying behind her and,I wasn't actually touching her. I was hoping for her to notice me put my arm behind her to just give her the option to cuddle you know. Well Idk if she noticed right away or not but after a few minutes of this she leaned forward just enough to not touch the back of the couch but still stay in a sitting position. At this point I thought that she was uncomfortable with my arm behind her and didn't want to touch so I went for my beer and put my arms back on my lap and just leaned back for the rest of the movie.

I like this girl so I was hoping for this to work but I feel like I pussied out by not just putting my arm on her instead of the couch lol. I work with this girl and we're friends, play videogames and go out to the bars occasionally. So I didn't want to ruin the friendship we already have by being too aggressive. Any captain hindsights here to give me their opinion on what I should've done or to just judge me for what I Did?
