So, I noticed this weekend that I would be talking to a girl and she seemed engaged, laughing and having a great time, but then some other guy would come over and completely dominate my frame to the point where she more or less completely forgets that I'm there. I'm still laughing and having fun, but I'll usually just move on to a different set once I notice that the girl is 100% focused on the other guy. I feel like if I work too hard to get her attention back, I will come across as too needy; I really don't care about "losing" her because I do feel abundance in my life, but I also feel like I need to show some dominance instead of allowing someone to come in and take over my frame.

In another instance, I was dancing with a girl, making eye contact and having a great time when some guy said excuse me like he was trying to make his way across the dance floor, but then he just stopped directly in front of me and started dancing with the girl.

I'm pretty overweight, so I think more fit guys see me as an easy target when I'm engaged with an attractive girl and think they can just come over and take her attention from me, which is apparently the case. Like I said, I'm not upset or depressed about it or anything like that, I'm just trying to improve myself and analyzing what I could do differently.

Anybody else have experience with this? How can I make myself less of an easy target? If someone does target me, how do I dominate the frame without coming across as needy or try-hard?
