Why does holding frame work?

Holding frame works because it is the opposite of Catering To Women.

Most men have at least an inkling of an idea as to what women like. For women, however, a guy knowing what women like and pretending to be that is not enough. Women want a guy that is naturally what women like, a guy that will be what women like tomorrow as well, not just until he's done faking it.

That is the purpose of a shit test; to rattle you, or test you, and make sure that you are of reasonable, consistent quality.

Holding Frame says I am this way regardless of who you are, what you do, or what you want.

When you combine Attractive Qualities + Frame Stability, you achieve what women want, which is, the perception of a naturally attractive man. Even if holding frame is to you, in of itself, an unnatural and learned technique.

The good part about holding frame, though, and the good part about acquiring Sexual Market Place success via imitation, is that these steps lead to the confidence and experience that manufactures the qualities you were imitating. Eventually, you don't have to silently reprimand yourself(in the levels of master, this is Conscious Mastery) to maintain frame, and instead, you will subconsciously know that holding frame is the correct thing to do, and do it out of habit(this is the level above conscious master, subconscious mastery.) This is the difference between someone that cuts a perfect carpentry piece by paying close attention, and someone that cuts a perfect carpentry piece by habit and instinct because he's done it so much that it's second nature.

TL;DR - Holding frame works because it convinces women that your desirable traits are authentic and permanent.

There are many articles on frame to be found in the sidebar on /r/theredpill. Suffice to say that it's been phrased many different ways.

My own version is that frame is short for "frame of mind". It's your own way of looking at the world and the people in it. Especially important is that you are the most important aspect. You know what you want and you're not afraid or ashamed to pursue it. Finally, it's important to stay in your own frame, and bring others into it, instead of straying into theirs.
