I invite a girl out to a friends BBQ, she works late and says she'll come by via text. I'm patient, but after an hour from the time she said she was going to show up, she texts me with;

G:"What's your plan tomorrow night?" Me:"I've got plans with a friend downtown, sounds like you've got something else on the go tonight, get back to me when you're free another time." Trying to keep text short and a little cold G:"Nooo i'm just a bit tired from work..." blah blah blah "How's the rest of your week? Maybe we can go for a hike or something?"

At this point, I'm not sure which the best decision would be now that I have swallowed TRP. TBP in me wants me to invite her out tonight or set up another date. But my new thoughts suggest that since she missed her window of opportunity with me and wasn't smart enough to tell me closer to her ETA, that I sort of punish her with these cold texts, and basically isololate her for a few days before opening her again for a 1 on 1 date scenario.

Am I blinded by false RP actions, or was this the right way to go about a girl bailing on you last minute? I feel like the way I went about it allowed me to show her that my time is valuable and that SHE made a mistake of not showing, elevating me in a way. Also to imply that I can forget about her easily and move on with my life instantly.

Would it be counter progressive to invite her out for a coffee in a day or so? Or give it a week?

Open to all criticism and thoughts, the best way to learn is to fail and to acknowledge what is working against me, and what is working for me. Thanks.
