Hey boys, this is a repost of an earlier thread that needed some editing. I've added a few extra explanations for beginners and cut some more advanced stuff.
Here you go:
Escalation windows are the key to getting laid. If seduction can be broken down into a two-step process, it is
Recognizing escalation windows.
Then, escalating.
An approach invitation is technically an "escalation window," or a "window" of opportunity that she draws with words or non-verbals. This opportunity moves the seduction forward towards sex, the final goal of seduction. Well, if you capitalize on the opportunity given, that is.
Sometimes, when you're new, you'll see escalation windows pop up... and then you'll freeze up. You'll get an instinct in the back of your head that tells you you need to act, but you'll just be too afraid to act on it. You won't know what to do. This post is not about how to get used to taking action when you get these signals. This is for the higher intermediate or low advanced guys, who see the signals at least some of the time, and know how to act on them now and aren't afraid to act on them. (if you're a newbie and you'd like me to write more on how to get past that initial fear of acting on the signals you get, let me know and I will see if I can cook something up on this).
Now, what do these escalation windows look like?
They can be as obvious as a girl knocking on your door wearing only a large hoodie and then unzipping it to reveal nothing beneath (true story).
Or it can be her saying, "I'm bored."
Here's a list of various escalation windows that a girl will give you when she's ready for you to invite her home or go to hers (or just get to it right there and then, if it's discreet...and even then).
Escalation Windows
She says, "I'm bored." Some guys will see this as, "I'm bored with YOU, boring man," but this is usually wrong. She's saying she's bored with not being alone with you and not having sex. Unfortunately, because they misread it, they amp up their seductive efforts. It's no surprise then that men often lose a girl quickly after this, not only because they missed the window, which frustrates her, but because you do the complete opposite of what she wants you to do - shut up and take her home. As for what to say exactly, tell her something like, "Yeah, me, too. Let's get out of here." Alternatively, you can say things like, "Okay, let's go on an adventure!" Though, I prefer to cut to the chase and eliminate any need to figure out some "adventure" to stick to your words. Of course, I've said all sorts of things like, "Let's go get some food" and then directly go back to my place with her knowing full well we were not going towards any food establishment.
She tells you, "I'm tired." I've had girls do this subtly or as directly as walking up to me at a party or bar, and saying point blank, "I'm tired" with the same tone as one might say, "Let's get out of here," whilst staring at me. It's not ALWAYS a sign, but you should treat it as one. If she's simply telling you she's tired, and you try to pull her home, well, she was probably going to go home regardless, at least you tried. Sometimes women DO say this to get you out of their room or to be left alone. If she really meant it as a, "I'm tired...of this party, but not you. Let's go somewhere where sleep or something else could alleviate my drowsiness," and you pull, well, you get laid. Tell her something like, "Yeah, me too. Let's go take a nap/let's cuddle," or "Okay, let's get out of here."
If she LOOKS tired or bored. Women manufacture their expressions more often than you'd think. She could be dramatizing how tired or bored she is as a way to give you the hint. Same thing. Pull. "You look tired. I am, too. Why don't we get out of here?" Though, I prefer to suggest/command, rather than request/ask. It's more manly. "You look tired/bored. Me, too. Let's get out of here/we should head to my place."
She's staring at you with doe eyes and saying nothing. This is the time to be aggressive. She's all but saying, "Do something." Maybe the context is calling for you to kiss or physically escalate, but if she's horny, it's usually best to take the maximum you can get, i.e., sex, and go for broke.
If she suddenly gets quiet during a good conversation. This is her way of saying, "Okay, I'm going to stop talking so that he doesn't think I want to talk anymore and instead want to DO stuff." Most guys, unfortunately, take this as a sign that they should talk more.
If there's any advice I see with advanced-beginners to intermediates, it's that they game too much. You guys need to take action. You can fuck a girl much quicker than you believe you can.
I've laid girls as fast as thirty seconds into meeting them. Or a minute and a half. Those are my fastest times. How did I do it?
I recognized escalation windows and capitalized on them.
She is talking to you about sex, not in a technical or general way, but in an excited way.
She says that she's going to leave the party/bar/club soon. Invite yourself along.
She wonders where her friends went, but not in a worried way, but in a, "Oh my, it seems my friends have wandered off. Oh what shall I do?! Poor wittle me is all alone." She's telling you that she's the calf who's been deserted by the herd and WANTS to be taken by a tiger (i.e., you).
Those are the ones that come to mind, the most obvious ones that most guys miss. I'm sure more will come to me soon.
Hope this helps. If you read this and then look back on some previous experiences and facepalm yourself, that's a good thing - it means your charisma and conversation are on point. You simply need to learn when and how to pull the trigger.
Remember, shooters shoot.
Now, I want to clarify something about escalation windows.
How do you tell the difference between an actual signal for her wanting you to move things forward (i.e., an escalation window) and her just saying things to say them?
Let's say that you two are at a house party and she's sitting next to you. She lays her head back, sighs, and then says, "Ugh, I'm bored."
Is this an escalation window?
It could be. But, ask yourself a few questions
How long have you been talking to her? The longer you have, the more likely it's a window. A girl can be ready to fuck you more quickly than you think, but it's best, if you are less experienced, to assume some time buffer, maybe say 10-20 minutes, to assume that she's sufficiently interested. It's not a strict window, but it can factor into you evaluation.
Has she shown non-verbal interest? Has she been smiling, looking at you intensely, touching you, or been responsive to your non-verbal signs of interest, e.g., when you touched her leg briefly, was she okay with it [e.g., did she smile? Did her demeanor stay the same, implying that she was comfortable with it?] Has she been leaning in to you? Things like this. If even these are foreign to you as signs of interest, you need to focus on recognizing flirting and other more basic social skills before moving on to escalation windows.
Has she shown any verbal interest? Has she complimented you, talked about sex, kissing, etc? Has she said outright that she likes you? Again, if these are also foreign to you, focus on learning to recognize these before you try to learn how to pull.
The more of these signs that are there, the more likely her saying, I'm bored," is her trying to signal to you that maybe she'd like to do something else with you, since you're the person she's telling she's bored - i.e., you're the man who can alleviate her boredom, possibly with an adventure somewhere, or having sex at your place, cuz, ya know, sex is fun.
An escalation window can mean she wants you to ask her out, she wants you to kiss her, or even she wants you to ask her or invite her home.
Sometimes this escalation window is direct and verbal, indirect and verbal, direct and non-verbal, or indirect and non-verbal.
Recognizing these escalation windows can involve seeing patterns in human behavior, verbal and non-verbal, since there are only so many ways people can communicate something (and most people follow recognizable patterns),
BUT BUT BUT
Context is very important :)
Always examine the context of your situation. That way, when you see a non-verbal or verbal signal that could be an escalation window, you already know if she's into you or not, thus increasing the possibility that this is a genuine escalation window.
