An hb9 or hb10 has nothing to gain by being bitchy or mean to you, and she doesn't have to prove anything to you. Same thing with other aspects, such as wealth -- the people that I've found to be the most entitled, stingy, and "flashy" with their money are people who are insecure about their wealth, think they don't have enough, and have to prove to others about how much they have.

Several things I'd recommend. First, if you haven't yet read "Models" by Mark Manson. Good guide to inner-game, and really opened my eyes about how to go about doing things. If you're having difficulty talking to hb8 or hb9, I'd recommend working on your inner game first. I'm not sure where I read this, but I remember somebody saying that outer game techniques are a representation of what you would say and do if you had strong inner game. The problem with outer game, however, is that often times it causes people to become inauthentic. People who focus too much on outer game without focusing enough on inner game often get too stuck in their head, trying to remember the best "line" or "technique" to use.

I'd recommend that, the next time you see an hb8 or hb9, you go up to them and, instead of asking them out, ask them something simple that doesn't put too much pressure on them (e.g. "Do you know where building X is located?", "Do you have the time?"). Do this every time you see a a hot girl you wouldn't normally approach. Easy enough, right?

After doing that for a few days, then do the same thing (approach women you wouldn't normally approach and ask them basic questions) but after you ask them, try to continue the conversation. So after they point out where the building is located, or what time it is, or whatever, try to continue to conversation by saying something like "Thanks! How has your day been, by the way?" and try to continue the conversation as far as possible. Don't make the goal to get a phone #, make the goal to continue the conversation as long as possible. Don't worry if some women seem uninterested, or want to end the conversation, as they probably need to get somewhere. If she seems particularly interested in you, then maybe ask for a phone number ("Hey, we should hang out sometime. What's your number?")

After that, you should get over your fear of talking to hot women. Now you have to get over your fear of rejection. After doing that for a few days, do something a little bit more exciting: compliment attractive women.

Now this might come across as needy, but it depends on how you do it. If you compliment her only with the expectation of getting into your pants, or getting her #, then forget it. Compliment attractive women without any expectations of an outcome -- do it just for the compliment itself. So if you see an attractive women, go up to her and give her a compliment (e.g. "I just had to come over to tell you that you look really cute" or "I really love that shirt" or whatever). Remember, don't just do it for the sake of doing it. Only do it when you genuinely see something that you can compliment on a woman, because that it makes it incredibly authentic and genuine.

After you're comfortable complimenting women you find attractive, then continue to do that but then ask for their number. Be as authentic as possible, because women, especially intelligent, high self-esteem women (which is different from being entitled), can detect in-authenticity a mile away. If you're nervous about approaching, then say that (e.g. "Hey, I just had to come over to say I thought you looked cute. This is kind of new for me to do, so I'm a little nervous, but I was wondering if I could get your phone # so we can hang out sometime?")

After doing that for a few days, at that point you should've gotten at least a few phone #s, and some nice conversations.

Also, cold approach is notoriously difficult for newbies so don't get down if you're approaching and not getting the results you'd expect. Along with cold approach, I'd also recommend doing social circle game which tends to be easier. Social circle includes women that are in a group in some way that you can relate to, such as women in a classroom, women in a group you go to, etc. That makes it easier because generally it's easier to get a reason to get a phone # and meet up. Let's say you're in a class and you have a midterm coming up. You can approach a girl in the class and say "Hey, I noticed you're really on top of your stuff with this class. How about we exchange contact info so we can study for the midterm/final?"

You gotta start small. Speak to them as you pass each other. Go with strategy that takes less anxiety. After enough times, she will know you. Then move to the next approach.

One of the worst lies in pickup is "cold approach is pickup".

It's actually one of the hardest ways to do it. So, if you see an opportunity, go for it, but that's not the way you will get laid. Especially not if you are a beginner.

Colleges have clubs. Join them. Colleges have activities. Do them. Colleges have dances. Go to them.

Go to the same activities regularly, so you meet the same people repeatedly. Talk to everyone (not just the hot girls). Have fun, do it enough get better. Have fun, be passionate.

How to not get laid in college:

Don't build a social circle, because you only care about getting laid
Flit from one thing to another, based on the last place you saw a hot girl.
Develop no skills or interests that are outside of your room
Only talk to people you want to fuck
Fap a lot
