I have been talking to a girl for several months, and things have slowly but surely been coming closer between us. We really like each other and things have been overall good. I'm definitely the guy she likes the most of any guy shes talking to.

However recently her ex started hitting her up. They broke up about 2 years ago, and he cheated on her with 4 different girls. She didnt know about the cheating until about 2 months ago. However she says before that, she was waiting 2 years for him to come back into her life. She says he was "the one".

He doesnt know that she knows about the cheating. he's hitting her up lately because he got rejected by another girl, and thinks he can slide back in.

She doesnt intend on getting back with him, and really hates him for the cheating stuff. But for some reason she still responds to his texts, and even went to get coffee with him for "closure".

Today he texted her saying he's still in love with her. It made her cry. Him saying that got to me tbh

I've never dealt with anything like this, I told her shes dumb for letting him into her life. When asked, she said she responds to his texts "because he wasted my time, now I'm going to waste his". I wish I could hit this guy up (never met him) and tell him to fuck off... but thats probably not the move
