Question is how do guys in the army meet girls or get girlfriends?

I have been single for two years now. Finished university and moved countries, so all the social links and girls I know have more or less disappeared. Now that I'm in the army I either work 8-12hrs and when I get home on days off I feel like I don't know how to socialise anymore with "civilians". I. E nothing to talk about other then the army or some mundane stuff. I pretty much forgot what girls like talking about and how to flirt, be playful, etc.

I'm in a country that has mandatory service, so people are not particularly exited by seeing someone from the army or anything.

Anyone been in this situation or have some advice as how I can meet women? Online dating has failed and I feel like meeting girls on the train while I'm in uniform would be off-putting or feel odd...
