Personally i had the same experience as you. In any case, i believe online dating is used by females to get sex from the top 10% and free validation from the 90%. It's a bad deal for most men.

Since really getting into this, I've looked at the women there much differently. Beyond the girls who would never get a date based on looks, 98% of those girls have red flags. There are attractive girls, but most of them leave me thinking "what the hell...".

I actually like OkCupid because it's the only damned place you can find a decent introverted woman. I actually want a quiet girl that prefers watching Netflix with her cat on a friday/saturday night to going out to clubs. I don't want a clubber girl, they're just plate material. Sure, OkCupid is full of special snowflake feminist carousel riders, full on retards, etc. BUT. It is one of the only major avenues to find that elusive reclusive woman, which is what I want.

It's a mixed bag, and it seems a lot of the younger hotter crowd have jumped ship to tinder. That said, I have landed several solid plates of there so it does pay off now and then.

OkCupid is full of feminist/queer types, and PoF is full of ratchet ghetto types. At least, here on the East Coast. Either way, the women are crazy tho. They're either emotionally broken or full of themselves.

Think about this. If you are a woman and you feel the need to go online to meet guys, there is something horrifically wrong with you. To all of us its painfully obvious where all of the effort comes from in making relationships work. Us.

Men are the initiators, and the stabilizers.

Women literally just have to not look/smell like a garbage truck full of used diapers from an adult nursery in a public place and they will meet 'eligible' men who would happily chop their own dick off metaphorically to fuck them.

What's available is going to vary by where you live, but how much success you have depends on how attractive you are more than anything else. Except in small rural towns, there are going to be some decent, attractive women on dating sites. As a RP'er who is fairly attractive, the competition from other guys seems weak. Who your matches are, based on your answers, will say something about you. That's how OKC works. Sometimes it's a good idea to clear all your answers and start over.

Where I live there aren't a lot on OKC that meet my criteria, but there are a few, and I've had no problem getting dates with the most attractive ones. The last OKC date I went on was with an 8 who is 12 years younger and had been valedictorian of her high school class. When we met, I actually asked her why she said yes to a date with me versus the dozens of other guys who no doubt message her (call it "research"). Her answer: "Well, you're not unattractive, and you seem pretty intelligent." We're having a second date tonight.

(I'm older than most of you, 12 years doesn't violate half your age plus seven.)

I met a woman on Match about 6 months ago who turned out to be amazing, and we ended up in a LTR until some family emergencies (sick parent, grandparent) ended up forcing her to be out of town a lot on weekends and I broke it off.

When I'm actively looking for new women, I keep a profile and usually just use the tinder style piece and use that set to pick from and stick to 90%+ matches near me. You won't waste as much time and I could get at least one date a week just from OKC that way. I also live in an area with lots of young (22-30) professionals, which is pretty much the only kind of girl who's going to be not-awful on OKC.
