I have little experience with dating and women in general, but I fool around on Tinder a decent amount. Matched with this one girl, opened brilliantly, got her snap chat, talked for a week or two, and eventually went on a date Friday. She is way out of my league, but we have a lot of the same interests, goals, and very similar senses of humor. We had planned on doing a little activity followed up by dinner. After the activity I asked if she wanted to go get something to eat and she said no, but she wanted to go get coffee. So we went to the local coffee shop and spent the next two hours talking and only left because she had prior obligations. Awesome! We started messaging after, and Monday I asked if she wanted to hang out this weekend. She has plans already with her friends, so that’s whatever. We talk daily, mostly at night (sometimes strictly at night), but the last two days I’ve been in a bit of a funk, and the conversation has suffered because of it. Last night the conversation was fairly boring and ended very poorly, which has been unlike our conversations over the past couple weeks. Should I let the conversation die and pick back up next week when I try to plan another date? (I start spring break next week.) Should I ask her now if she wants to hang out next week? Should I keep talking and then ask her next week (and run the risk of further bad conversation)? I feel like I’m being pushy. I don’t know the balance between showing interest and showing neediness.
