At the beginning of the year, when my LTR breakup was undergoing, I went to (CBT) therapy for the first time. I've learnt a lot of useful things from it, but the best one, imo, is that you need to be able to forgive yourself.

Whenever you are making improvements and going out of your comfort zone you're effectively trying something new. Seduction, and social skills in general, are just like any other skill: you suck at it, but if you keep practicing, you realise one day you don't suck at it anymore.

However, going from sucking to not-sucking takes a long time, and that time is filled with mistakes. You have a choice here: you can either accept the failures, be a little sad but forgive yourself, learn from them, and move on; or you can spend days ruminating on what went wrong and thinking you are worthless and will never get anywhere.

The former mindset allows you to learn fast, the latter propels you towards a self-destructive path of misery.

There is no easy fix, you will attempt a lot of new things, push the limits, and fail. You will experience pain. But you will also raise the bar higher each time, allowing you to become a better human being. If that is your goal, you need to accept the difficulties but move on from them. Learn from your mistakes, don't be hard on yourself because of them.
