Everyone keeps saying "looking for some action? Tinder."
I keep trying to ignore all these voices because they must be the work of either "good looking guys" (yes, they have it much easier, that goes without saying) or idiots who maybe haven't even tried it, and just suggested it because it worked for their friend, etc.
But lately I have even been seeing these suggestions on the Asperger's forum (I'm autistic, for the few who don't know.) Typically I explain "you know I'm average looking, only 5'9", weak/thin as fuck and can't gain muscle, I look awkward in photos" and they just tell me "try anyway. Taking good photos is the most important thing. Hey it worked for me!" and so on.
I don't understand the disparity in opinions, though. Here in this subreddit, I will often see something like "I'm 5'10" and good looking, have a lot to offer, and it sucks... just because I can't list 6 foot height" or whatever.
Whereas at other times, I get hard-case guys (5'7", autistic, shitty job) telling me Tinder worked for them.
What gives? Is it worth a try, or not? I certainly don't intend to join if I'm going to be screwed around with or depressed by how bad it is. I'm very thin skinned in that way. Let's put it this way, who in their right mind wants to learn they're unwanted and undesired by literally everyone?
