I hope this post will apply to other readers and we can help many guys on this topic. I'm sure I'm not the only introvert that simply does not talk to people. Let me be clear--I am not being stubborn or unwilling to change/improve. I have tried my whole life, trust me. Introverts spend a lot of time trying to be something they're not.

Talking to strangers for no reason is exhausting for me. And I'm always tired to begin with. I have had depression for 20 years and low energy to go along with it. I have tried "just talk to everyone so that talking to a girl is nothing different", but it is exhausting. I can't do it.

So when I go to talk to a pretty girl, I am giving her so much of my energy. Especially because of the adrenaline, I will have to take a nap just from one short conversation with this girl!(not exaggerating). So yes, of course I care about the outcome. I don't want to waste my time and energy. Caring about the outcome is unavoidable. Isn't it?

What else can I try? Because my anxiety is not going to lessen until I stop caring. How do I stop caring if it is such a large investment for me? Thanks a lot!
