In a broad, vague sense, yes, there are leagues. I'll admit that much, but nothing beyond that. But listen up: there are no hard unbreakable rules on this.

Folks like some similarity. I'm sure "hypergamy" applies to some women, but far from all of them. You folks are driving me nutty with all the "league" bullshit I've been seeing lately.

This rubbish here? In this place? Treating this as a hard rule there are no exceptions for? Come on, yo.

So to generalize what I mean: do not assume that if you're an average guy or drastic underachiever/loser, that if some decent looking woman shows interest in you, she must be batshit insane automatically.

Similarly, do not assume that if you have average looks and you're an autistic loser (unable to achieve standard metrics for your age group) that this means the only women available to you are those "below your league" or very unattractive.

For example, if you're an average looking guy and a drastic underachiever for whatever reason, you could look for an average looking woman who's also an underachiever, and this is called "compatibility." In other words, look for women similar to you, who know where you're coming from. These women often will not even relate to so-called "high value" guys and may even be turned-off by the whole "social climbing" bullshit.

If you're still thinking "it's ALL hypergamy, no matter what, in every possible situation" then there is no hope for you, or you're basing that too much on dating sites where that rule is 95% true. But that's not the same as real life!
