Are the ideas/techniques in the Mystery Method in conflict with those in Models? Or is it possible to 'use' both?

At the end of the day, all the methods converge to: do what works for you. Borrow principles and techniques from different methods. At the core, they're pushing the same ideas -- get yourself out there, be fun to be around, don't take things personally, handle logistics & keep things escalating, etc.

What I would do is .. walk over to the group and say something honest like "Hey :) I am out making new friends. You guys look like you're having fun, how's your night going?" Canned lines sure can help by giving you a crutch, making what you're saying seem "cooler" -- but I've also seen a million times where a guy just says basic regular shit with confidence and it works great. Then follow up with interesting things to continue on the conversation, build rapport, build tension, escalate & isolate, etc.

I guess your question is direct vs indirect approach to dealing with women. You ideally want to show intent by hitting on them, adding value/being high value then going indirect when escalating. But what entropy suggest has a high fallout unless she already has perceived value in you.

Says who? That's actually the best time because you'll come across bold as fuck doing it in front of her group. But the trick is not alienating the friends and getting tunnelvision for the target. Get names from and shake hands with all of her friends while complimenting the target so they don't revert to awkwardly looking at their phones. If her friends feel awkward, the target will be. If her friends are all smiles because they're included, you're 90% there with the target.

I can sense your frustration about the conflict in rules etc. I can emphasize!!! If you dig deeper (like I have done) you'll find ENDLESS examples.

Mystery saying you only show intent AFTER she's giving you lots of IOI's and showing her intent first etc among about 200 other converging theories. (from whether to volunteer you own name, to the use of routines, to using 'interview mode' or not etc etc etc)

Best thing I can advise is to not worry about any of it. Look at it from the other way. WHATEVER you do, you are doing it RIGHT according to at least some experts. (and wrong according to other experts). If you think you need to run indirect mystery game, watch some infields by some direct PUA's and it's proove that mystery was 'wrong'. Alternatively, listen tto pro 'direct' guys and then watch some mystery type gamers and it will look like the pro direct guys were 'wrong'

SO you can never please everyone. And the fact that these experts all do things so differently yet all get lots of results should tell you that none of it is even important.

She is either into you, or she's not. It's not in your control. So if you feel like being direct at the open, do it. If you feel like waiting until she's showing interest before you show your own, do that.

I know it's frustrating as you want to be doing things 'right', but you'll be spinning your wheels since there is no consensus and never will be, so don't worry about it. Do whatever. I imagine that even this answer might annoy you a bit because it's essentially saying 'there is no game'!. (''how can there be a game if there are no clear rules?'')

It's always annoying when someone is very dogmatic about a paricular method and all others being completely wrong. It's like they've never seen infields other than those of their own guru! (mysterymethod follower tend to be the most annoying in this regard lol)

The game is played on a deeper level in my opinion. All of these rules and stuff are a massive, unnecessary over-complication. Again, this can be proven by watching infields of people breaking each others rules consistently, yet consistently getting results
