Love yourself, be true to yourself, and respect yourself. The bad type of "nice guy" doesn't do that. He comes across as fake because he's putting on a show for others to see, rather than being himself, and he seeks outside validation and approval. Also, forgive yourself for your mistakes and learn from them (that's an alpha thing too). Once you've got that down, things should improve. Of course sometimes it's not easy trying to tap into who you really are.

Meditate. You're spending too much time in your mind. You need to be in the moment.

Make a list of your strengths. You're listing your weaknesses which makes you insecure. Focus on what you like about yourself.
