Girlfriends come with the possible long term outcome of having a child together and starting a family. Where an escort costs money and time for the dopamine release of sex without having to build a relationship. Escorts are really just tricking your brain... They're like an unhealthy drug. Short term fun, with no longer term gain.

I think of girlfriends as "escorts" all the time, especially if you're richer. If the only think she's bringing to a relationship is sex in exchange for you buying her stuff and paying her bills then that's what it comes down to.

Remember the guy who had to pay hundreds of millions of pounds to his wife after their divorce? Someone calculated that she received over 10,000£ per day simply to say "I do." He could've hired a high end escort to follow him around all day, everyday, for far less.
