I want to share some tips that have personally helped me over the past two months. I had discovered this community about 2-3 months ago and it put me on a path to a better life. There are so many resources out there to help you out. The biggest source of knowledge has been the book models.
I first worked on setting my inner game straight. I had a lot of social anxiety and I worked on that first. I always had women in mind but I first tried having good conversations with men. Over time I got good with that and learnt a LOT about social Dynamics and reading people. After a while I realised that I was still struggling with approach anxiety. I had talked to more than 50 men, and groups of guys too. But I always shyed away from women. I had maybe approached 5 women overall and ejected as soon as I ran out of questions.
Last night everything changed. The following are some of the things I did that helped massively and I finally managed to run a whole set and get a number.
Warm up. This was probably the biggest game changer for me. I started the night feeling very rigid and bored and couldn't even have fun by myself. Things started to get much better when I just went out and had fun. I like doing random things out in public so I just chose some amusing activity and went around speaking with people on that pretense. This helped me break out of my shell.
Not giving a f*@k. This is something that I have started practicing in social situations. The less fucks you give, the more energy you build. Ive had some of the best interactions because I don't give a fuck, I'm loud and confident and I am not bothered with the outcome. A few of the girls straight out ignored me or said no thanks and walked away, I wasn't bothered though because I didn't care about the outcome. Also the set I opened later at night, was at an open air restaurant and the girls were probably the hottest there, but I didn't care about how many eyes were on me.
Being self aware and reading the situation. The one set that I opened and stuck with that got me the number, it was more complex than I thought I could have handled. But the thing that helped in that situation was reaction quickly to every thing that was going on. One of the girls threw shit test after shit test but I handled it immediately. Later she continued to cockblock but I got through. In fact, I was perceived as less of a threat to their group BECAUSE I was quick and managed to stick my game and showed honesty in my words.
Questions. Don't ask questions when you begin. The second you open, the girls are confused as to what the fuck you want. You have a short period where you have to show that you're there just to chat them up and nothing more. If you keep piling questions, the girls will get progressively more suspicious and drive you away. By making statements and asking only s few open ended questions, you get to build comfort.
Confidence. This is very important at three points in the game. One is when you approach and open. Two when you ask for her number. And three when you go in for the kiss. You have to do these things with unwavering confidence and shift their frame in such a way that they see you so confident in your action that they forget their own opinion about it. When I was getting cockblocked, I knew that I had to go for the number. I asked for her number and her friends literally laughed at me. I didn't flinch, I reiterated why she should give me her number, and how it doesn't matter either way because I'm going to walk away and never see her again. My confidence in my statements and my composure shifted their frame and I landed her number.
You guys have been great! I hope this helps some one just like so many of your guys' experiences and advice has helped me.
