How do I tell if it’s a date?

Going for dinner with her tomorrow night and I’m not sure if it’s a date.

I wanted to ask two things-

1. Should I approach the topic more directly and ask her if it’s a date?

2. Should I try to read the signs or whatsoever and then determine if it’s date?

In either case, what should my strategy be? Eg- how do I directly ask if it’s a date without being rude? Or what signs should I be looking for to know if it’s a date?

Also wanted to ask, how do I secure a second date (if it is one)?

Any other general tips that would help me are welcome.
