Hi I was curious to know if anybody had a perspective to share on maintaining multiple long term relationships. I am wondering whether it was an unequivocally good thing to have on going long term sex with multiple people? Or was it more of a phase that you needed to go through, but ended up seeking one amazing person to be with...

Was it an important phase of growth? Or was it an ideal situation to end up in that you maintain to this day? Or was it just something you wanted to try and then later figured it wasn't what you really wanted? Do you feel it takes a lot of energy to do something like that and it takes some kind of personal and emotional toll (for example falling in love with multiple women, but the relationship never goes deep beyond a certain point)? Or is it just an inevitable result of being an alpha guy, and it is all around a rewarding thing to experience?

If you honestly reflect, would you recommend that your best friend try to get MLRs, or is it a bit like binge drinking in college where its a fun idea and also a lot of fun, but ultimately not as fulfilling as other ways of engaging with the world? Did you find it helped to develop your soul, or just feed an ego?

I ask this because I am coming out of a period of addiction to pornography, and am wondering whether trying to have lots of ongoing sexual partners would just be another stimulating but empty pursuit versus maybe trying to find only exceptional women (perhaps more than one, but being semi-serious with them)? I realize everybody has their own interest and motivation for seduction, so I was just hoping for honest opinions about having MLRs from people who have been there... If somebody goes the MLRs path, do you believe in 5 years a person will look back and believe it was worth it or not? Or would it have been better to be developing deeper relationships with women?
