Because whether or not people like to hear it, dating culture is heavily influenced by Western centric beauty standards and a history of racism.

OK Cupid has released data which illustrates what each race of people are most/least attracted to.

People can try and justify and defend themselves with personal anecdotes, but at the end of the day numbers don't lie and they reflect the larger problem with racial preferences in dating.

Asian men are heavily stereotyped across modern media as highly academic socially awkward introverts with short stature and small penises. I'm sure that certainly doesn't help their chances with white women who are surrounded by imagery of 6foot Ryan Goslings and Chris Hemsworth's their whole life.

Besides the heavily feminine J Pop/K Pop style of Asian men. You'd be very hard pressed to find legitimate Asian male sex symbols that are portrayed as being sexy or masculine.

This might be the wrong sub to ask tbh.

Your basically asking why one culture values another race more than its own, so honestly you’ll probably have to look at some history to see why that is. Colonialism is a hint, but to understand why cultures continuously value white features over their own you’ll have to research and read a lot.

one interesting theory on this is mandible length. there's a YouTube channel called facehacking, which is based on looksmax philosophy. the guy makes the argument that women always choose men with better or equal mandible (jaw) development than them. jaw development is driven by tongue posture and diet, and since Asians eat a soft diet, they tend to have flat faces and weak jaws, this means an Asian woman with a weak jaw can date a white man with a weak to average jaw, but an Asian man with a weak jaw is fucked.

Anecdotally, it may have something to do with perceived western stereotypes.

Asian women = beauty

Asian men = unmanly

Also there maybe something to be said about men going to war in Vietnam and Korea that started to change some men's views around Asian women that saw them becoming suitable partners.

Another angle, we are seeing this from a western perspective. Certainly I cannot argue from my own experience that I see far more White male, Asian female partners than the other way around, but in Asian countries this may not be the norm.

The last thing that needs to be noted is that you and I dont understand how Asian men/women view White people either, so there may be a stereotypical view they hold that sees a certain relationship dynamic to occurr.
