Perhaps her pleasing you pleases her. Girls are like that, especially if you're just enough out of reach that they're willing to take the extra step to get closer.

Let's talk about you, though. Why would you want to commit to a serious relationship or even marry someone who you said has been "riding the CC quite hard"?

She might be playing you for a beta. You have a well-paying/high status job, you're good looking, and it sounds like you're willing to settle. Dude, who knows who else she's been fucking while you were gone. You yourself even said "she's got me by the balls".

So what does she benefit from this? Sounds like having you as her beta. I'd just keep her as a plate if I were you.

In a word, it's inertia. Working for you in this case instead of against. Sounded like she's in lovey-dovey land, which you should enjoy to the max, take all her gifts as your due, reciprocate only about 2/3s of it (if even that). The higher quality the woman is, the more she will naturally be a giver and enjoy making her man feel good.

Keep in mind that at the end of the rainbow, it's all still going to run into AWALT, and you two cannot prevent it. All you can do is prolong the good and navigate around the bad.

do not give in to her gestures. she is working hard to get you but you have to see she likes the work as opposed to wanting the goal. for a man this is counterintuitive but for a woman this is the best part of the relationship. back off with the relationship talk and wait for her to crack the shits about the lack of relationship

keep in mind her biological imperitive is to allocate resources to rear her young. she is looking for a husband. plain and simple. if she has selected one, (you), she will be as submissive as she can trying to get you to wife her. when you do, she wins and has your commitment.

(your comment that you think she does have your commitment is your perception. as far as she is concerned you (a BF) can still walk away. they dont have your "legal" commitment until they get wifed, or baby daddied. Then you're either hooked for life, or the next 18 years, one way or another).

She will continue to be submissive and give you nearly anything you want until she either gets 1wifed, 2baby daddied or 3gives up on waiting for you. just prior to #3 she may try for #2 as a consolation prize for not getting #1

You don't really "get" The Red Pill if this is your mentality as it is a very beta way of thinking. Women adopt dual mating strategies and sometimes these overlap. You've a stable, prestigious and well-paying job as well as access to plentiful beautiful women so there is no reason for her to look elsewhere unless you start worrying that she's going to leave you for someone better as there are few options better than you available to her and a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

The taking it slow and not wanting to move in together too soon thing suggests she is serious about commitment rather than fickle and very Red Pill Woman of her. I suspect it makes you see her as more attractive. She cannot be won so easily as to accept the first offer you make to move in together. It's also a kind of shit test.

Regarding the birthday gifts, that just sounds like a really nice thing to do. Do you really not understand why people like to do nice things for others they care about? If so you may be a sociopath and I'd seriously recommend therapy.
