I went to the salsa club tonight. I often take moments to take a breather, collect my thoughts, think about the next steps in my game. I like to watch the other dancers, see if there are any interesting moves I can learn from someone (spoiler; they usually dont have any B) )

Anyway, I was watching this older guy dancing with a decently attractive female. I dont know either of them, though I have seen them plenty and they know of me. The old guy was dancing her up, and she was enjoying it. She is cute enough that she is most likely on plenty of guy's radar, and the old guy has somewhat of a reputation, as though he is old fat and bald, he dresses almost all pimped out and plays it up. He gets along with plenty in the crowd.

Later, as I went to my car to get some water, I saw them, sitting at some stools near the outside bar. He was half facing her, doing some kino, tryina put the moves to take her home. And she... she was closed in on herself, not wanting to be rude and push him away but really not feeling the guy. Their stools sat them at a glass wall that divided the club from the entrance, and I walked around the wall, and looked at her. I was smiling, because I knew what was going on, I knew he was trying to get some.

And here is the important part; she saw me, looking at her. She saw my smile. She saw that I knew that the old guy was trying to bed her. And in that moment I saw that she was not going to do it... because of me. Because of people like me. People, who know of her, who hang out at this club. People who are gonna know if she put out or not. People who she will have to deal with judging her if she ever wanted to come back to this club that she enjoys dancing at, which could ruin the club for her. That's why she was not going to go anywhere with him. Thats why I saw her later, back in the club, with the old guy still orbiting, not realizing he had already failed. Because women can't put out for a guy if the place she goes knows about them, because when she comes back, society will judge her for it. Only if she is stolen away completely unaware by the club's society, and/or only if the society already approves of him...

Let me say that again... ONLY IF SHE IS STOLEN AWAY COMPLETELY UNAWARE BY THE CLUB'S SOCIETY, AND/OR ONLY IF THE SOCIETY APPROVES OF HIM... will she sleep with him.
