Nah this ain’t true. I have no talent at pickup but I’m above average skill I think.

Talents are people who have some sort of natural skill that makes them unusually good fast. Like some guys are naturally smiley, flirty, high energy etc.

You can definitely get there via discipline and consistency and a push to constantly improve.

Also it’s not a competition, there’s a point of skill you cross where it all just starts making sense. And girls start getting easier. You’re not competing with other guys so the bar isn’t constantly being raised or anything. So even if you have no talent you can still get across that minimum threshold and get girls.

If you can approach and hold a decent conversation, escalate when appropriate then then will get your fair share of girls. I think what they mean is you can't be the Tiger Woods of game if you have no talent, but you definetly be a scratch handicap I.e get some girls.

In my experience in game and in other fields (artistic and professional), what people call "talent" is mostly above-average dedication and determination to study and practice.

A tall, handsome guy who is very smart and witty if he learns game in a dedicated way will pull more chicks than a short, fat, dumb guy who learns game with equal dedication.

But a short, fat, dumb guy who learns game will pull more chicks than Mr. Handsome who never learns game.

Fortunately there are very few really good looking guys (and not many ugly or average guys) who ever bother to learn game. They're happy to date a little, then get married and pass into dating oblivion as quickly as possible.

First we have to define what "talent" is in pick up. It probably mostly about confidence, self esteem, and be a chatty guy, kind of a story teller. Those things can be learned and developed. So I call Bullshit on this statement.
