Hey everyone -
Older guy here, 48M and every other week I've got kids, which means I'm more or less locked down. Also, got a bunch of other shit I'm trying to between jobs, my body, creative projects, random stuff.
I don't do well online, but get a match now and again, and have gotten numbers from women in the real world. What seems to happen is we'll start talking, they seem invested from a texting perspective. We meet, go out, have fun, slight physicality, but sex seems to take longer with women in my age cohort. (?) But then it might be a week, or maybe two before I have a good night to get back out and see them in person. In the meantime, they wanna text. OK. Eventually, I'm a really great guy who is smart and nice and funny but built for someone else or they aren't ready to date right now or whatever. I'm collecting good looking friends out there. It is a first world problem, but still a problem.
I know the general guidelines are to text to set up dates only, but I am finding it difficult to strike the correct balance when it can legitimately be seven or fourteen days before I have another chance to see a woman in person. If I go dark, they'll assume I'm fading. If we text a lot, I become the friend.
Anyone overcome this before?
Thanks.
