Engage enough to make her laugh and pause, because you DON'T need her, you just WANT her.

That'll get you blown out every time. An opinion opener in a bar scene would at least give you a fighting chance. The problem is you don't understand what doesn't work and why so even if you open a set well you will lose them in ten minutes tops. You have to learn by reading, practicing and using critical thinking.
