You don't have to chew a woman's ear off to keep her interested in your conversation. As a matter of fact, less is better.
We get the dreaded "awkward silence" (not to confuse with the tension of silence) because we are trying too hard. Imagine talking to a girl for just a few minutes and being able to have so much to say each time you see her:
"So what's your favorite movie?"
"I like The Notebook"
"I've never seen it. What's it about?"
"It's about..."
After she tells you what the movie is about, you can go home and take a look at it. You now have something to talk about the next time you see her. She'll look forward to see what you think about the movie and you'll look forward to giving her your review:
If you liked it
If you didn't like it
Tease her for her taste in movies and come up with your own suggestion. There are Romantic comedies that men can actually sit through and enjoy (The Ugly Truth, Zack And Miri Make A Porno, The 40-Year Old Virgin, My Best Friend's Girl, etc).
I was talking to this woman about movies and she gave me one of her suggestions. I saw it and I couldn't finish it... that movie sucked that bad. I went back and told her how much it sucked. Made fun of her taste in movies and also found out that it was a movie that her and her father use to watch. So the running joke is that movie whenever the topic of movies comes up.
Don't force yourself to have a conversation. This makes you look needy. It screams:
"I don't want this moment with you to end, so I would rather bore you than allow you to leave and risk you forgetting about me."
If you can make a woman feel good in your presence for just two minutes, she will look forward to seeing you again. Each time she sees you it's like a treat... even if it's for only a small window of time.
This should set your mind at ease because the less you give a woman, the more she wants.
